Middle Finger Emoji Sees Light through Microsoft

We have incorporated emojis in our lives like butter to our toasts. From the simple smiley faces that we have used during the early 2000’s, we can now choose from a wide selection of emojis ranging from people, nature, food and drinks to flags and places!

Emojis have been used for more than the shorthand icons that they’re intended to be, as emojis can be seen abundantly used in our online and mobile conversation. Instagram users can even use them in hashtags according to a recent statement from Instagram. (See: Three New Filters and Emoji Hashtags

The latest update that have stirred the online community is the announcement of the inclusion of the most awaited middle finger emoji in the latest update for Windows 10. Starting mid-2015, Microsoft will allow users to virtually “flip their fingers” through any device that runs under the Windows 10 operating system. The middle finger is officially known as the “Reversed Hand With Middle Finger Extended” Emoji. It will be available in 6 skin variations, with the grey alien-like complexion as the default.
