There’s no stopping fetch from happening! Mean Girls spin-off, Mean Moms, is positively on their way.
First, with New Line Cinema tapping Sean Anders to direct the upcoming flick and now it seems like they may have just notched Jennifer Aniston to play lead. Deadline reports that the former’s appointment as director might seal the deal for Aniston. They have previously worked together on last year’s Horrible Bosses 2.
Mean Moms is based on Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads, written by Rosalind Wiseman who also wrote the book where Mean Girls was adapted from. The upcoming comedy tells the story of a happily married mother of two moving from small town America to the high class suburbs and is faced with confronting the cut throat world of competitive parenting.
Though no word yet on a start date, nor a release date, reports claim it is slated to be a summer movie.
