Carrie and co. are headed to Europe.
Showtime has confirmed Tuesday that Homeland will be shooting its upcoming fifth season on Germany.
According to the network, The Claire Danes-starred spy drama will be the first American TV series to ever shoot a full season entirely on Germany. Season 5 will begin production in June at Studio Babelsberg in Berlin.
Season five will pick-up two years after Carrie Mathison’s (Claire Danes) ill-fated tenure as Islamabad station chief. Struggling to reconcile her guilt and disillusionment with years of working on the front lines in the “war on terror,” Carrie finds herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, estranged from the CIA and working for a private security firm.
